...it's scary how good they good they sound. I've had a lot of wonderful musical moments with these altecs playing!

    HR9040 baby!

Though I don't have the multicells to compare to any longer... the 9040 is surely a bit easier to handle. beware 2 different throat sizes (maybe denoted with the 'a' suffix ver).

    Ping AB.

The pics in Pano's OP, above, do not show on my computer screen. Other members can see them. Is there an ex-USA block involved somewhere or is there a Hostboard setting that I need to enable?

    Cheers, Marshall.

PS. Also, generally, links shown are very similar in appearance to normal content text, making it easy to miss them. Do others have this problem?

Pics? I didn't see any in this thread just now.

Me too; it's always been bad for me and now I can see no difference, so started using different colors and/or BOLD text to highlight them.

    Re: My A7-500s. A journey

Yes the pics seem to be missing... I am going to make a sticky thread for folks to no longer host the pictures here at hostboard as they will go missing eventually. Everyone is going to have to use a photo hosting site but they will have to leave them there...What happens sometimes is people then delete them from the hosting site which will have the same result. You can leave those photos on them sites Photobucket,Flickr,Image Shack,Picasso,etc.. forever practically.. No reason to delete them..With all the Vbulletin/Hostboard upgrades it seems the photos are then lost in the process....

I'll see if I can change the color of the links.

Thanks, AB, on moving to make links more prominent.

Could you look into direct posting of pics, with a size limit, from our own files rather than depending on third party storage? It can't be too difficult nowadays. The existing Host board method would be fine if it didn't have a data limit on uploads and pics were bigger.

Members could help a bit by making their own files secure for future reference.

    Cheers.

Your Welcome ! And I agree with you on getting a better picture method for the board, as soon as the photos are lost. It makes the threads less coherent...As they say a picture is worth a 1000 words...

I just finish reading this thread... its full of great stuff but ultimately this speaker system requires broad attenuation at 200Hz and has a deep notched at 8440Hz that cannot be accounted for!??
A project that started with so much promise ultimately ended with disappointment.

Did panomaniac get rid of these speakers? Whatever happened to them? Would have been nice to see some pictures...

Yes, he sold them when he moved back to Hawaii. His current speakers are OB in his own real cave!
